Free Yoga Day was created in late 2006
- as National Free Yoga Day (in Australia) -
by Toby Wallace of Land of Yoga.
He wanted to create something that would be
a gesture of Love. As a Yoga teacher himself,
he particularly liked the idea of a FREE contribution.
He sent a letter of invitation to every Yellow Pages
listed centre in the country, with a flyer included.
On very late notice, 40 centres participated.
Now this event has expanded to become
International Free Yoga Day.
"May all your dreams come true;
may you walk not the path of choice,
lest fear guide you...may you open
to the path that surrounds the path,
which has always been there waiting."
